Tasha Sandoval is a bilingual audio producer and writer based in Ridgewood, Queens. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia and raised in South Florida, she’s a recent graduate of the Spanish Language program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where she concentrated in audio reporting.

Tasha’s work has appeared on WNYC and NPR programs and in Univision Noticias, City Limits, Refinery 29, and Catapult Story, among others. In 2022, her reporting on wage theft among Latine restaurant workers in New York City earned a Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists for Spanish language print/online reporting.

Before journalism, Tasha worked in higher education, earning an M. Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Boston University. She is currently an Associate Producer at Futuro Studios and a Producer and Editor at Public Books. She writes about identity, culture, migration and labor.
